Cecilia T. Mateo is an immigration attorney known for her strategic advocacy, compassionate client service, and unwavering commitment to helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve legal stability in the United States. She represents clients in a full range of immigration matters—from family-based petitions and humanitarian relief to complex removal defense and employment immigration.

Cecilia brings a results-oriented approach to every case. She is experienced in citizenship applications, non-immigrant visas, waivers, employment authorization, and appeals, and regularly represents clients before USCIS and the Immigration Courts. Her litigation and motion practice includes asylum claims, cancellation of removal (42B), and deportation defense, as well as drafting persuasive filings that address even the most challenging immigration issues.

A significant part of Cecilia’s practice involves defending clients who are detained by ICE and facing removal. She advocates for clients seeking immigration bonds, fights for release from detention, and prepares strong evidentiary packages demonstrating community ties, hardship, and eligibility for relief. Cecilia handles all aspects of deportation defense—including cancellation of removal, bond hearings, motions to reopen, and representation in individual hearings—ensuring that clients and their families are protected at every stage of the process.
